MASS AWIS was thrilled to kick off our 2026 Book Club series with an inspiring virtual discussion featuring Dr. Marlene Belfort, distinguished molecular biologist, author, and advocate for women in science. Members across career stages joined for a thoughtful conversation centered on her memoir Mommy, Can Boys Be Doctors?, a candid exploration of her scientific journey, personal challenges, and the evolving landscape for women in STEM.

On May 30, MASS AWIS participated in NextGen STEMFest at the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation in Waltham, joining more than 50 exhibitors in celebrating science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on learning and community engagement.

Our MASS AWIS booth was buzzing with energy at the Girl Scouts STEM Fest. We had a fantastic turnout, with Girl Scouts of all ages stopping by to explore the fascinating fields of biomaterials and tissue engineering.

We held our annual MASS AWIS Speed Networking event this Spring, and the energy in the room was incredible!
