Parisa Hashemizadeh

Parisa is a physician-scientist and a postdoctoral research fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She received her medical degree from Zanjan University of Medical Sciences and completed her internal medicine residency at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. Her research focuses on uncovering the genetic basis of pediatric cardiomyopathy through whole-genome sequencing. Parisa joined MASS AWIS in 2024 and currently serves as administrator. Passionate about exploring science and supporting others in their goals, she finds AWIS a unique place where these pursuits come together. Outside of work, Parisa enjoys reading mid-century literature, walking in the sun with friends, cooking, and crocheting.
