Tamar Propp
Mentoring Committee Co-Chair
Tamar is a scientist-turned science/grant writer and a recent graduate of the Epistimi Leadership Program. She earned her BSc in Biochemistry from Bar-Ilan University and her PhD in Neurobiology from the Hebrew University. Tamar joined the Association for Women in Science in 2020 and has been actively involved in its mentoring and communications committees since 2021.
She is committed to the mission of AWIS and dedicated to advancing mentorship initiatives. Tamar believes that effective mentoring plays a transformative role in empowering the next generation of women in STEM.
In her personal time, she enjoys reading, playing the piano, and hiking.
