
Shweta Tendulkar
Outreach & Engagement Co-Chair
Shweta Tendulkar is a scientist with expertise in disease modeling and a longstanding commitment to scientific outreach, mentorship, advocacy, and community building. Throughout her career, she has participated in science fairs, led educational demonstrations for students, engaged with the public through STEM outreach initiatives, and spoken with high school students about scientific careers and the experiences of international scientists. Most recently, she served in multiple elected leadership roles within the Washington University Postdoctoral Society, where she led initiatives in advocacy, professional development, networking, and outreach for a community of more than 900 postdoctoral scholars.
As a member of the Outreach and Engagement Committee, Shweta is excited to help expand AWIS's visibility and impact within the STEM community. Her vision is to create meaningful opportunities for connection, engagement, and professional growth while increasing awareness of the resources and support that AWIS provides.
She is passionate about fostering an inclusive and supportive community where individuals at all career stages can build networks, access opportunities, and thrive in their STEM journeys.
