Speaker Bio

Dora Farkas, trained in science and engineering, is a firm believer that career development for women holds limitless possibilities, regardless of age, experience, or background. With a PhD in Biological Engineering from MIT and a Postdoctoral Fellowship from Tufts Medical School, she has also worked as a senior scientist at AbbVie. Dora is the founder of the Finish Your Thesis Academy, where she has helped hundreds of graduate students worldwide complete their PhDs and secure high-level positions. She is the author of The Smart Way to Your PhD and the mother-daughter debut novel Choice. Additionally, she has taught writing courses at institutions such as MIT, Tufts University, Boston University, and The Scripps Research Institute.
