About the event
Join MASS AWIS members for a walk in South Boston, around Castle Island, Pleasure Bay and Fort Independence. Bring a friend and a picnic snack which can be enjoyed on the beach or in the park.
Meet at 4 pm on Saturday October 1, 2022 (rain date Sunday October 2, 2022) at DCR Murphy Memorial Rink, 1880 William J Day Blvd, Boston, MA 02127. You can either take Bus 7, City Point - Otis Street & Summer Street or bike over with Blue Bikes (there is a Blue Bikes terminal right outside the Skating Rink). You can also drive and parking is free.
This is a great opportunity for exercise while meeting new friends and networking in an informal setting, a skill that helps open doors to meaningful careers in STEMM. The walk around the bay takes about an hour.
